- emphasis with WHAT..... and ONE THING THAT ....

We did exercises on pages 18 and 19 in your books and looked at the review on page 149. We also did an ORAL MEDIATION

Your homework is a WRITTEN MEDIATION. Look at the information below. Deadline: next THURSDAY

WRITTEN MEDIATION. A REVIEW B2.1

An English friend of yours has heard of the feel-good film Campeones and its success in Spain. She/he has asked you if you could write a review for their local newspaper. Listen and/or read the information in the links below, take notes about the most important information and then,

·       write a review of the film.

·       Follow the conventional characteristics of film reviews (page 19 and 149 in your student´s books):

o   Introductory sentences that give basic information about the film or book

o   A short description of the plot (in present tenses)

o   The good and bad things about it

o   Your opinion and emotional response to it

o   A sentence that tells the reader to watch it (or not)

·       Remember to:

o   Use emphasis (page 19 in your books)

o   Use topic-based vocabulary (page 19 Talking about films and books)

·       and explain the reasons for its success in Spain (socio-cultural aspects).

choose a book (level 4), download a book (you'll need an Educamadrid password, ask me for it if you're interested and don´t have one yet) and follow the same rules as for film reviews.
