Dear all, 

this is what we did yesterday:

-we played a game to revise health words

-we cheked our homework

-we learnt how to do a monologue: Advantages and disadvantages of smartphones.We had to use the vocabulary just learnt: 

prevent/save/stop someone from doing something

let someone do something

allow/enable someone to do something

help someone (to) do something

And we had to link our ideas using the expressions in useful language page 127


Your homework:

- write a for and against essay with the title Advantages and disadvantages of smartphones. Follow the style of this kind of essay (for and against essays on page 153) and use the useful language on page 127

- handout. Exam practise. Match the headings and the paragraphs

 This is what we did yesterday: - we looked at different works of art and chose the best one for the reception of several buildings - we checked our homework - we did two more exercises on defining and non-defining relative clauses - we took a listening exercise on museums - we brainstormed vocabulary for different topics (the environment, shopping and spending habits, money, work),we formed some questions and then did our monologues Your homework: - I gave you two reading exercises with the key to practice for the exam
